This website was designed on the 5th June 2005 after my Sudoku crazed family drove me to write a Sudoku puzzle solver.
This site was built to showcase my work and also provide a resource centre for people to find good sudoku puzzles and printable grids. This site has Samurai Puzzles, Killer Sudoku, Puzzle Solvers and Killer Samurai Sudoku.
The site uses CSS and HTML. It also used PHP for server-side features. The site is now hosted as a static site on Cloudflare.
My name is Daniel Mitchell. I am an avid programmer and web developer. If you would be interested in my services then please contact me.
Update May 2012. The site has had a face lift using Bootstrap. New features have been added to make the site easier to use. Still amazed at how many people have visited this site. And yes, I still love solving sudoku puzzles.
Enjoy Sudoku!

Hi Daniel \n \nI have just come across your site after a very long search for a solution to my problem .. and I am hoping you can help me! I have a website for parents (www.activityvillage.co.uk ) and have been offering "Sudoko for Kids" for a few weeks. They are very popular but took me ages to produce and the quality of the pdf files is not good. I am hoping to create more puzzles (including easy 9x9s, some 6x6s and maybe even some 4x4s to start kids off with) but need a way of generating the puzzles easily, exporting them as good quality gifs or whatever into Pagemaker, where I add graphics and convert to pdfs. If I can get it right I would like to offer a downloadable booklet for sale too. Please get back to me if you think you can help, with details of what you would charge. I look forward to hearing from you, \n \nLindsay Small \nwww.ActivityVillage.co.uk \nKeeping Kids Busy

What is Sudoku?
Sudoku is a Number Puzzle that requires no mathematical knowledge (no adding or multiplication). It is based upon Japanese style crosswords where you are required to use logic to place numbers onto a 9x9 grid.
Rules
To solve the puzzle you must make sure that every column, row and 3x3 box contains the numbers 1 through to 9. Almost all of the puzzles can be solved using logic alone and there is no need to guess. A puzzle can take from 20 minutes to 2 hours to complete depending on its level and your experience.
Sudoku Fact
For a 9x9 puzzle to have precisely one solution, the initial entries need to include at least eight of the nine digits.
